    Incredible 1890 Va. House of Delegates 5 Page Letter Read into the Records of the Va. House from a group of Botetourt County officials to ask the house for help in the matter of reducing further annexation of the county by Allegheny County. The letter speaks to the issue of losing not only property but the taxes that were to be lost if the annexation was to continue. The letter was signed by William B Simmonds and was endorsed by William Penn , F. Brugh and R. S. Whitten from the Board of Supervisors as well as William R. Allen, Commonwealth Attorney. It is also endorsed by J. W. Matheny County Clerk, S. B. Crush Deputy Sheriff and CM Lunsford.
